Whately Elementary School is a small, rural school that grows raised beds full of herbs, flowers, melons, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, raspberries, and rhubarb. Each fall the 5th grade turns the wheat, tomatoes, herbs, and veggies they have grown into personal pizzas. We also grow greens and lettuce for the field day picnic salad. Students from Preschool to 6th grade grow and harvest, build and plant in their school garden!
